Instructions on taking Viagra:

Viagra can be taken once every 24 hours on an as needed basis. Viagra should not be taken on days where no sexual activity is likely to occur. In other words, don’t take Viagra for the sake of taking it. It is recommended that you take Viagra approximately one hour before planned sexual activity. The effect of Viagra should last for around 4 hours and will then gradually start to decrease.

Possible Side Effects of Viagra:

All prescription drugs including Viagra have possible side effects. Viagra Contraindications:

The following conditions or factors may possibly increase the risks involved in using Viagra. If you suffer from any of these conditions (or are taking any medications that may possibly have an adverse effect when combined with Viagra) please consult your doctor and let him/her know about your condition before seeking out the prescription.

  • Nitrate Medications should never be combined with Viagra as this may decrease your heart rate to dangerous levels. This includes using medications such as nitroglycerin and even recreational drugs such as “poppers”.
  • Hypotension: Viagra tends to lower blood pressure so if you suffer from low blood pressure taking Viagra may be dangerous. Ask your doctor about your alternatives.
  • If you are taking alpha blockers or similar medications.
  • If you suffer from retinitis pigmentosa
  • Men who are not healthy enough for sexual activity should not take Viagra.
  • If you just suffered from a heart attack or a stroke.
  • If you have renal function problems

  • If you suffer from degenerative retinal disorders
  • Some healthcare practitioners recommend you refrain from eating Grapefruit or drinking grape fruit juices when taking Viagra as they may lower your blood pressure.
  • Etc.

Please let your doctor know about any other drugs you are taking and any other conditions you may have. Being open and honest with your doctor will insure you are properly diagnosed and treated and will make your experience with Viagra much more pleasant and positive.
